exhaust pipes communicating with exhaust openings in respective banks of a cylinder head; and
a catalyst holder that holds a catalyst in a merge portion where the exhaust pipes are merged in a site located on an upper side of the banks, wherein
the catalyst holder includes an inner tube and an outer tube, the inner tube is attached to the cylinder head and the catalyst is housed on an inner side of the inner tube, the outer tube is disposed on an outer side of the inner tube,
the V-type engine further comprises a first cooling water piping and a second cooling water piping each of which communicates with a space between the inner tube and the outer tube and each of which communicates with a cooling water channel provided inside the cylinder head, each of the first cooling water piping and the second cooling water piping deliver part of cooling water to be delivered to the cylinder head to the catalyst holder, and
one end of a secondary piping is connected to the first cooling water piping and an other end of the secondary piping is provided with a water pump that delivers cooling water at start-up of the engine.
