1. A lubricating oil composition, comprising a polyalkylene glycol-based compound represented by the formula (1):

wherein R1 represents a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms in one or more rings; R2 represents a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms in one or more rings or a hydrogen atom; R3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms; and m is a number of 1 to 40,
wherein the monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group is represented by the formula (2):

t is an integer of 0 to 5,
a is an integer of 0 to 2, provided that at least one a is an integer of 1 or 2,
* represents a bonding position to the oxygen atom in the formula (1),
R is each independently a methyl group, an ethyl group or a vinyl group, and
A is each independently a group represented by the formula (8),
