1. A method comprising:
positioning a patterned die on a first platen of a foil press, the patterned die having a pattern thereon;
feeding one or more consumer paper products to a second platen of the foil press in an open position;
feeding a transfer foil to the foil press in the open position, wherein the transfer foil is positioned between the one or more consumer paper products and the patterned die such that a first graphic side of the transfer foil is facing the patterned die and a second transfer side of the transfer foil is facing the one or more consumer paper products;
closing the first platen and the second platen of the foil press together so that the patterned die transfers a plurality of foil flecks from the transfer foil in the shape of the pattern; and
utilizing pressure from the foil press to affix the plurality of foil flecks to the one or more consumer paper products.
