1. A scrap processing system comprising:
a first vibrating pan facilitating separation of scrap material;
a magnetic drum separator;
a second vibrating pan;
an electromagnetic drum separator; and
an output chute;
wherein the scrap material falls from the first vibrating pan proximate to the magnetic drum separator;
wherein the magnetic drum separator attracts a first portion of the scrap material and separates the first portion of the scrap material from a second portion of the scrap material, the first portion of the scrap material comprising ferrous material and the second portion of the scrap material having a higher non-ferrous content than the first portion of the scrap material;
wherein the first portion of the scrap material is deposited by the magnetic drum separator on the second vibrating pan;
wherein the second vibrating pan facilitates separation of individual pieces of the first portion of the scrap material as it travels towards the electromagnetic drum separator;
wherein the electromagnetic drum separator attracts a third portion of the scrap material and separates the third portion of the scrap material from a fourth portion of the first portion of the scrap material, the third portion of the scrap material comprising low-copper ferrous material and the fourth portion of the scrap material having a higher copper content than the third portion of the scrap material; and
wherein the electromagnetic drum separator directs the third portion of the scrap material into the output chute.
