1. A method of applying a cosmetic composition to a keratinous material,
wherein the cosmetic composition is capable of forming a multilayer structure after application to a keratinous material,
wherein the cosmetic composition comprises at least two immiscible components prior to application,
wherein the at least two immiscible components are Component A and Component B and Component A and Component B are separated in the cosmetic composition,
wherein component A comprises about 0.01% to 60% by weight with respect to the total weight of the composition of at least one silicone and/or hydrocarbon-containing film-forming agent selected from the group consisting of a film forming agent selected from the group consisting of silicone-containing film forming agents, polysaccharides, high viscosity esters, polybutenes, polyisobutenes, polyhydrogenated butenes, acrylic polymers, acrylate copolymers, vinyl pyrrolidone containing homopolymers and copolymers, polyurethanes, polyolefins, and mixtures thereof;
wherein component B comprises one or more silicone compounds selected from the group consisting of silicone fluids, silicone gums, silicone waxes, and mixtures thereof; and
wherein the cosmetic composition comprises at least one colorant, the method comprising:
mixing the cosmetic composition to form a mixed composition in which Component A and Component B are temporarily miscible, and
applying the mixed composition to the keratinous material,
wherein after application to the keratinous material, Component A separates from Component B to form a multilayer structure on the keratinous material.
