1. A method for deploying a fastener into bone, the method comprising:
positioning a staple delivery device proximate the bone, the staple delivery device comprising:
a tubular shaft having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therethrough; and
a handle assembly coupled to the proximal end of the tubular shaft, the handle assembly including a housing and a handle rotatably coupled to the housing at a rotation point;
inserting an insert into the lumen of the tubular shaft from a proximal end of the housing of the handle assembly, the insert including a first arm and a second arm at a distal end of the insert;
applying a force to a proximal end of the insert; and
actuating the handle of the handle assembly towards the housing to move the insert disposed within the lumen of the tubular shaft in a proximal direction relative to the tubular shaft.
