1. A suturing device comprising:
a body configured to be inserted into a surgical site of a patient;
a suture retainer positioned within the body and configured to receive a suture so that an end of the suture extends from the body and is accessible within the surgical site of the patient; and
a cartridge, wherein the suture is wrapped around the cartridge and configured to be moved from around the cartridge to around the suture retainer.
