1. An aerosol-generating device, comprising:
a near-field communication module for communicating with an external device, wherein the near-field communication module is configured to store a message comprising a list of records, wherein the list comprises a first record associated with a first operation to be executed by the external device and a second record associated with a second operation to be executed by the external device, and wherein the first operation is different from the second operation; and
a control unit configured to:
monitor a state of the aerosol-generating device, and
in response to detecting a predetermined state of the aerosol-generating device, configure the list of records to define an order of the first record and the second record in the list,
wherein, when the predetermined state is a second state, the control unit is further configured to configure the list such that the second record is first in the list.
