1. A system for calibrating a videoconferencing system, the system comprising:
a first codec;
a second codec connected to the first codec through a videoconferencing connection;
a videoconferencing component in communication with the first codec;
an output component in communication with the first codec; and
a controller in communication with the output component, the controller configured to,
control the videoconferencing component to transmit a local videoconferencing signal to the output component through the first codec,
receive the local videoconferencing signal as output by the output component,
analyze the local videoconferencing signal as output by the output component to determine a local calibration adjustment value, and
adjust a local level setting of the first codec according to the local calibration adjustment value.
