1. A system, comprising:
a control plane device configured to:
receive a request for allocating a first Internet Protocol (IP) address to a first user;
allocate, in response to receiving the request, the first IP address to the first user; and
transmit a response including the first IP address; and
a forwarding plane device applied to a broadband remote access server (BRAS) and communicatively coupled to and separated from the control plane device, wherein the forwarding plane device is configured to:
transmit, to the control plane device, the request;
receive, from the control plane device, the response; and
transmit, to the first user, the first IP address to enable the first IP address to be included in a first data packet from the first user,
wherein the control plane device is further configured to:
generate a forwarding rule, wherein the forwarding rule enables the forwarding plane device to forward a second data packet from a second user; and
send, to the forwarding plane device, the forwarding rule,
wherein the forwarding plane device is further configured to:
receive, from the second user, the second data packet comprising an identity of the second user; and
transmit, the second data packet according to the identity and the forwarding rule, and
wherein the identity comprises both a media access control (MAC) address and a virtual local area network (VLAN) identifier.
