1. A method of wireless communication of a user equipment (UE), comprising:
determining a first physical down link control channel (PDCCH) resource candidate in a first control resource set (CORESET) on a carrier, the first PDCCH resource candidate including a first set of resource blocks (RBs);
determining a first sequence of Demodulation Reference Signals (DMRSs) that are mapped, starting at a reference point, to RBs in a predetermined range within the carrier in a frequency domain, the predetermined range containing the first PDCCH resource candidate in the frequency domain;
determining, with reference to the reference point in the frequency domain, a first reference location of the first set of RBs;
determining, based on the first reference location, a first set of DMRSs from the first sequence of DMRSs, the first set of DMRSs being mapped to the first set of RBs;
obtaining a channel estimation based on the first set of DMRSs; and
performing blind decoding of the first PDCCH resource candidate based on the channel estimation.
