1. A method of producing hydrogen gas comprising:
(a) introducing nanobubbles at a concentration of at least 107 nanobubbles per cm3 from a nanobubble generator into an electrolytic cell comprising a pair of electrodes and a hydrogen-containing, electrolyzable liquid; and
(b) operating the electrolytic cell to produce hydrogen gas.
