1. A receiver, comprising:
a first filter operable to generate a first estimation of a symbol in a received signal;
a second filter operable to generate a second estimation of the symbol in the received signal; and
a decision circuit to enable the first filter and disable the second filter causing the first filter to generate the first estimation and the first estimation to be directed to a decoder to decode the symbol based on a comparison of the first estimation to a threshold,
wherein in response to the first estimation failing to satisfy the threshold, the decision circuit is configured to disable the first filter and enable the second filter causing the second estimation to be directed to the decoder to decode the symbol based on a comparison of the second estimation to the threshold.
