1. A system for distributing multimedia content over a network, comprising:
a server; and
a storage resource communicatively coupled to the server and configured to store a plurality of items, wherein each of the plurality of items comprises an identifier, multimedia content, and metadata, wherein each of the plurality of items is associated with a respective product,
wherein the server is configured to:
receive the plurality of items from the storage resource;
execute a widget builder resource configured to generate a product catalog, wherein the product catalog includes: (i) information associated with each of the plurality of items, (ii) a marketplace rule, and (iii) at least one clickable link;
distribute the product catalog to a network accessible location, wherein the product catalog is configured to be displayed on the network accessible location based on the marketplace rule;
receive an indication that the at least one clickable link has been selected by a remote computing device; and
provide a checkout screen to the remote computing device, wherein the checkout screen allows for a purchase of a respective product associated with at least one of the plurality of items to be initiated using the remote computing device.
