a first label section located within the outer perimeter of the composite label; the first label section including an RFID transponder interconnected to a first antenna member, the first label section being removable from the composite label;
a second label section defined by an area outside of the first label section and within the outer perimeter; the second label section including a second antenna member interconnected to the first antenna member;
wherein, in a first configuration, the first label section is positioned within the composite label and the first antenna member is interconnected to the second antenna member thereby forming an RFID label having a first performance characteristic; and
wherein, in a second configuration, the first label section is removed from the composite label and is configured to be affixed to the object which has been removed from the container; and wherein the first antenna member is disconnected from the second antenna member and the first label section forms an RFID label having a second performance characteristic different from the first performance characteristic.
