1. A shunt resistor, comprising:
a conductive plate, the conductive plate comprising a conductive lead, the conductive lead coupled to measurement circuitry;
a resistive element coupled to the conductive plate, the resistive element:
comprises a single resistive element folded to form an at least partially semicylindrical shape, wherein a first edge surface of the resistive element runs parallel to and facing a second edge surface of the resistive element; and
is configured to receive an electrical current and convert the electrical current to a voltage;
an insulator coupled to the conductive plate, the conductive lead, the resistive element, or any combination thereof, and
a conductor coupled to the insulator, such that an electrically conductive loop is formed between the conductive plate, the resistive element, and the conductor.
