1. A deposition device for depositing material on a surface of an object, the deposition device comprising:
a flow generator including an electrolyte supply apparatus for supplying an electrolyte, and an electrolyte distribution apparatus, said electrolyte distribution apparatus including at least one first distributor plate and at least one further distributor plate disposed opposite said at least one first distributor plate, said at least one further distributor plate disposed downstream from said at least one first distributor plate in a flow direction of the electrolyte, said at least one first distributor plate and said at least one further distributor plate each provided with openings through which electrolyte is flowable;
an object holder for holding the object;
an overflow basin with an overflow weir, said flow generator configured in said overflow basin; and
a drain pipe configured for drawing the electrolyte away from said overflow basin, said drain pipe formed with holes to drain the electrolyte out of said overflow basin, said drain pipe disposed under said object holder.
