1. A manufactured article, comprising:
three or more glass layers laminated together with each glass layer being at least partially overlapped with another glass layer and without any binder material in between the glass layers, each glass layer having a thickness in a range from 1 μm to 500 μm, at least one of the glass layers being composed of silica or doped silica;
a first feature formed, respectively, in at least two of the glass layers, wherein the first feature defines an open channel with a first portion and a second portion having a fluidic connection therebetween, and wherein the first portion of the open channel extends transversely relative to the second portion of the open channel, and
at least one further feature formed in at least one of the glass layers, the at least one further feature being a through-hole, a partial-depth hole, a slot, a void, an engraved mark, or a differentiated area in the at least one of the glass layers.
