1. A method of harvesting a bioproduct, comprising:
passing a cell culture media tangentially through at least one tubular depth filter (TDF) having a first end and a second end,
wherein said passing the cell culture media comprises introducing a non-laminar fluid flow through the first end of the TDF by operating a system comprising the TDF at a filter flux above 400 Lm−2h−1 (LMH) and a shear rate of less than 16,000 s−1.
