1. A method to deliver medication, the method comprising:
rotating an over-centering cam relative to an actuation mechanism to a first rotational position via a pivot component to couple a biasing member to a syringe;
extending the biasing member to energize the biasing member;
retaining the biasing member in an extended state;
releasing the biasing member to permit the biasing member to retract to advance a plunger disposed within the syringe;
wherein the plunger defines a chamber within the syringe;
directing medication from the chamber into a tubing, wherein the tubing extends from the syringe to a catheter and defining a tubing volume; and
advancing the plunger a predetermined displacement to introduce a predetermined volume of medication equivalent to the tubing volume into the tubing;
rotating the over-centering cam relative to the actuation mechanism to a second rotational position via the pivot component to release the biasing member from the syringe; and
advancing the plunger independently of the biasing member.
