1. A composition comprising a dried animal feed and a lyophilized isolated bacterial strain comprising Lactobacillus strain LactX, wherein LactX is the bacterium deposited at the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) under accession number PTA-127487, and wherein the composition contains at least 108 colony forming units of LactX per serving.
