1. A method of modifying a determined contact state of one or more electrodes in a plurality of electrodes located on a medical device, the method comprising:
measuring an electrical characteristic of each electrode in the plurality of electrodes located on the medical device;
for each electrode in the plurality of electrodes, determining a contact state of the electrode with adjacent tissue based on the measured electrical characteristic of the electrode; and
modifying the contact state of a first electrode in the plurality of electrodes to ‘in contact’ when the contact state of a second electrode in the plurality of electrodes is determined to be ‘in contact’, if the first electrode and the second electrode are in a first clique.
