1. A device, comprising:
a processing system including a processor; and
a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
determining a list of Session Management Functions (SMFs) having a blockchain ID that is authorized to provide service to a slice ID; and
sending, responsive to a query for SMFs to handle a connection request, the list of SMFs.
