1. A user equipment comprising:
a processor; and
memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions stored thereon that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
receive user equipment route selection policy (URSP) rules associating application traffic to packet data unit (PDU) sessions and for detecting that application traffic is associated with a redundant transmission, wherein the URSP rules include at least two route selection descriptors (RSD);
use a first URSP rule to determine that first application traffic for a first PDU session is associated with a first RSD and a first transmission that is redundant to a second transmission;
use a second URSP rule to determine that second application traffic for a second PDU session is associated with a second RSD and the second transmission that is redundant to the first transmission;
determine PDU session pair information (PSPI) to associate with a first message associated with the first PDU session and to associate with a second message associated with the second PDU session;
send the PSPI in the first message associated with the first PDU session; and
send the PSPI in the second message associated with the second PDU session.
