1. A method for market-based mitigation of communication link deterioration, the method comprising:
receiving, at a first client device, a communication network resource budget assigned to the first client device for the purpose of enabling the first client device to mitigate deterioration of a wireless communication link with a wireless base station serving the client device by purchasing additional communication network resources;
determining that deterioration of a first wireless communication link between the first client device and a first wireless base station has reached a threshold value, the deterioration of the first wireless communication link at partially resulting from interference with communication signals transmitted between the first client device and the first wireless base station caused by movement of the first client device;
in response to determining that the deterioration of the first wireless communication link has reached the threshold value, generating a bid for additional communication network resources; and
in response to acceptance of the bid for additional communication network resources, using at least part of the communication network resource budget to purchase communication network resources of a second wireless base station such that the first client device is concurrently served by (i) the first wireless communication link between the first client device and the first wireless base station and (ii) a second wireless communication link between the first client device and the second wireless base station, while the deterioration of the first wireless communication link between the first client device and the first wireless base station is greater than or equal to the threshold value, wherein each of the first and second wireless base stations is part of a common cluster of wireless base stations.
