8. A method comprising:
receiving, using a hardware processor, a plurality of portions of a content stream;
comparing, using the hardware processor, as each portion from the plurality of portions of the content stream is received, each of the portions of the content stream from the plurality of portions of the content stream to indexed content, each comparison being performed at a predetermined frequency, wherein the predetermined frequency is adjusted based on a previous comparison of a previous portion of the content stream to the indexed content;
determining, using the hardware processor, based on the comparison of each of the plurality of portions of the content stream to the indexed content, whether a match amount that is greater than a match duration threshold value;
and associating, using the hardware processor, a flag with the content stream as containing unauthorized content.
