1. A method comprising:
in a messaging system for exchanging data over a network, for a collection comprising a set of media content items, generating a first user interface including a first cell representing the collection, the collection being created by a user of the messaging system and activatable via the first user interface by a viewer to cause displaying media content items in the set of media content items;
identifying a context object added to at least one of the media content items in the collection, the context object being distinct from main content in the set of media content items;
selecting the context object as a post-view trigger for generating a user-selectable element associated with the collection, the context object being selected from a plurality of different context objects based on the context object being associated with a media content item most recently added to the collection;
in response to selecting the context object as the post-view trigger, generating the user-selectable element associated with the collection, the user-selectable element being actionable to effectuate a post-view action corresponding to the context object, the post-view action being available for a previously accessed collection; and
in response to determining that the collection was previously accessed by the viewer of the collection, generating a second user interface including a second cell representing the collection, the second cell of the second user interface comprising the user-selectable element actionable to effectuate the post-view action.
