1. A method for adjusting a value of a candidate content unit in a communications system relative to an existing content unit of a client dictionary, comprising:
identifying a candidate content unit having a baseline value;
determining one or more parameters regarding an existing content unit of the client dictionary, the existing content unit comprising content that is replaceable in the client dictionary by the candidate content unit; and
adjusting the baseline value of the candidate content unit to an adjusted value based on the one or more parameters regarding the existing content unit.
