1. A method for calibration of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) traffic flow acceleration in a computer network, the method comprising:
initializing a maximum congestion window parameter;
determining at least one slow start threshold as a multiple of the maximum congestion window parameter;
monitoring congestion of the traffic flows within the network; and
calibrating the maximum congestion window parameter based on the monitored congestion of the traffic flows and the at least one slow start threshold based on the maximum congestion window parameter; and
determining whether an update to the at least one slow start threshold is required by monitoring throughput or the computer network combined with user scores and a number of congestion avoidance instances.
