1. A selective graphical composition method, comprising:
obtaining, at a first device, graphical information for a first image frame, wherein the graphical information comprises at least depth information and color information for at least a portion of pixels within the first image frame;
determining a regional depth value for a region of pixels in the first image frame based, at least in part, on the depth information for the pixels within the region of pixels;
coding the region of pixels as either a skipped region or a non-skipped region based, at least in part, on the determined regional depth value for the region of pixels and a determination of whether color information for any of the pixels within the region of pixels contains a non-default value;
if the region of pixels is coded as a non-skipped region, compositing a representation of the region of pixels into the first image frame; and
if the region of pixels is coded as a skipped region, avoid compositing a representation of the region of pixels into the first image frame.
