1. A merchant computing system, the system comprising:
a merchant input/output assembly comprising a biometric scanner and a contactless card reader, the merchant input/output assembly configured to receive, via wireless communication, reference numbers from a physical payment card associated with a customer device;
a merchant database retrievably storing a plurality of reference numbers and customer information associated with each of the plurality of reference numbers, wherein the plurality of reference numbers includes (i) a first reference number of the physical payment card associated with a first level of security, and (ii) a second reference number of the physical payment card associated with a second level of security; and
a transaction circuit configured to:
receive, via a first channel in a chip of the physical payment card accessed using a merchant input/output assembly, a first authentication procedure and the first reference number, wherein the first authentication procedure is associated with the first level of security;
receive, via the merchant input/output assembly, first information to be authenticated to satisfy the first authentication procedure;
receive, via a second channel in the chip of the physical payment card accessed using the merchant input/output assembly, a second authentication procedure and the second reference number of the customer device, wherein the second authentication procedure is associated with the second level of security;
receive, via the merchant input/output assembly, second information to be authenticated to satisfy the second authentication procedure; and
present, via the merchant input/output assembly, a user interface relating to a transaction based on information stored in the merchant database.
