1. A system, comprising:
a host processor configured to transmit configuration instructions corresponding to data to be analyzed;
a data buffer configured to receive the data to be analyzed;
a state machine lattice comprising a plurality of configurable elements, wherein the configurable elements are configured based upon the configuration instructions to analyze at least a portion of the data and to output a result; and
a buffer interface configured to receive the data from the data buffer and to provide the data to the state machine lattice, wherein the data buffer is configured to provide data to the buffer interface via data bursts and each data burst comprises a predetermined portion of data for each of a plurality of state machine lattices comprising the state machine lattice and at least one second state machine lattice.
