1. A rail comprising:
a first side panel, wherein the first side panel comprises a first tongue along the entire length of the first side panel; and
a second side panel, wherein the second side panel comprises a second tongue along the entire length of the second side panel;
wherein the first tongue and the second tongue are for engaging grooves of a slide;
wherein the first tongue extends away from the second panel and the second tongue extends away from the first panel;
wherein the first panel comprises a first cavity for engaging a protrusion of a frame of a handgun.
