1. A home appliance comprising:
a cabinet that defines a storage region; and
a door configured to open and close the storage region,
wherein the door comprises:
a door body, and
a panel assembly mounted on the door body,
wherein the panel assembly comprises:
a panel configured to transmit light,
a light guide plate spaced apart from the panel, the light guide plate having a pattern configured to emit the light to the panel, and
a light source spaced apart from a light entrance surface of the light guide plate,
wherein the light guide plate comprises a pattern surface that defines the pattern of the light guide plate, the light guide plate having (i) a first part that defines a first pattern portion of the pattern and (ii) a second part that defines a second pattern portion of the pattern, and
wherein the first pattern portion is disposed at an edge of the pattern surface of the light guide plate and configured to emit a first amount of light that is greater than a second amount of light emitted from the second pattern portion.
