1. A stator for a torque converter comprising:
a stator hub;
an outer ring; and
a plurality of blades extending radially between the stator hub and the outer ring, the plurality of blades being fixed against rotation relative to the stator hub; and
a plurality of lock pins, each lock pin received in the stator hub and securing a respective one of the plurality of blades in a fixed orientation.
