1. A coating liquid for forming an insulation coating for a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet by a baking treatment at a baking treatment temperature of 600° C. to 1000° C., containing aluminum-containing hydrated silicate particles and boric acid, and not containing an organic component, wherein polyphosphate is present in the aluminum-containing hydrated silicate particles in a range of 0 to 20 mass % with respect to the aluminum-containing hydrated silicate particles, and
wherein the content ratio of the aluminum-containing hydrated silicate particles to the boric acid is from 0.1 to 1.5 as B (boron)/Al (aluminum) molar ratio in the coating liquid.
