1. A fluorescent glass comprising:
greater than or equal to 40 mol. % to less than or equal to 80 mol. % SiO2;
greater than or equal to 5 mol. % to less than or equal to 25 mol. % Al2O3;
greater than or equal to 4 mol. % to less than or equal to 20 mol. % Na2O;
greater than or equal to 0.07 mol. % of two or more fluorescent ions selected from the group consisting of oxides of Cu, Sn, Mn, Sb, Ag, Ce, Eu, Tb, Tm, Sm, Dy, and combinations thereof; and
less than or equal to 10 mol. % of rare earth oxides of Nd, Er, Pr, Ce, and combinations thereof, Ce being both a fluorescent ion and a rare earth ion,
wherein Li2O+K2O is greater than or equal to 0 mol. % and less than or equal to 10 mol. %, and
wherein MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO+ZnO is greater than or equal to 0 mol. % and less than or equal to 25 mol %.
