1. A removable applicator configured to be secured to a syringe for directing materials to be dispensed from the syringe, the applicator comprising:
a hub comprising a lower surface and an upper surface, wherein the upper surface includes an aperture, the hub further including at least one proximal frustoconical-shape feature configured to be inserted into a syringe nozzle to frictionally engage an interior wall of the syringe nozzle, wherein a frictional engagement of the at least one proximal frustoconical-shape feature and the interior wall forms a fluid tight seal; and
an applicator tip extending distally from the aperture of the hub,
wherein the hub and the applicator tip cooperate to define a fluid passage therethrough, the fluid passage being configured to minimize fluid volume between the lower surface of the hub and a lower half of the applicator tip,
wherein the lower surface includes a lower opening of the fluid passage such that a diameter of the fluid passage between the lower opening and the aperture continuously decreases as the fluid passage extends axially upward from the lower opening and to the aperture to encourage the materials to be dispersed from the syringe downward towards the syringe, and
wherein the applicator tip is in direct engagement with or extends axially downward into the aperture of the hub such that the fluid passageway between the lower opening and at least the lower half of the applicator tip is unobstructed.
