1. A controlled release device (CRD) comprising:
a reservoir divided into a plurality of chambers by partitions positioned between adjacent chambers, each partition having respective partition planes contacting the adjacent chambers;
a permeable membrane comprising pores and covering at least one chamber of the plurality of chambers, wherein the respective partition planes are substantially perpendicular to the permeable membrane; and
a plurality of active materials, wherein each active material of the plurality is placed in a separate chamber of the plurality of chambers and comprises an active ingredient (AI) selected from the group consisting of an insecticide, a spatial repellent, a herbicide and a larvicide, wherein full or partial removal of at least one partition results in mixing of active materials in the respective adjacent chambers to form a mixed active material.
