1. A method of making an anti-microbial composition comprising an aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid encapsulated in a nanoparticle, the method comprising the steps of:
mixing together in water in a chamber from which air has been purged a compound that generates a proton (H+) in water and a compound that generates a hypochlorite anion (OCl−) in water, thereby to produce an air-free aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid; and
encapsulating the air-free aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid and an anti-metabolic agent selected from a group consisting of zinc, copper, and silver in a nanoparticle.
