1. A method for manufacturing an aspheric implantable lens, the method comprising:
receiving, from an input, an ophthalmic lens prescription for a patient eye, the ophthalmic lens prescription being configured to provide a first optical power at a first region of an implantable lens and to provide a second optical power at a second region of the implantable lens;
generating, with a module, an aspheric curvature based on the ophthalmic lens prescription, the aspheric curvature merging the first region with the second region, such that a power profile of the implantable lens is smooth from a center of the lens to a periphery of the lens, the aspheric curvature extending continuously from the center of the lens to the periphery of the lens, wherein the merging comprises adjusting elevation parameters of the first region and the second region to eliminate an elevation step between the first zone and the second zone; and
manufacturing, with a manufacturing assembly, the ophthalmic lens based on the aspheric curvature, the ophthalmic lens manufactured by the manufacturing assembly having the power profile that is smooth between the first optical power in the center and the second optical power in the periphery of the ophthalmic lens.
