| 
               1. A method of supplementing human nutrition, comprising: 
            administering to a human a nutritional supplement that consists of: 
                a nutritionally acceptable carrier; 
                a plurality of polyphenol-containing plant materials consisting of: red color, green color, orange-yellow color, and purple-blue color; 
                wherein the red colored plant materials, based on a total weight of the nutritional supplement, consist of: 
                about 10 wt. % of an apple extract, 
                  about 10 wt. % of a pomegranate extract, 
                  about 1.85 wt. % of a tomato powder, and 
                  about 2.45 wt. % of a beet root powder, 
                wherein the green colored plant materials, based on a total weight of the nutritional supplement, consist of: 
                about 6.38 wt. % of an olive extract, 
                  about 7.5 wt. % of a rosemary extract, 
                  about 7.5 wt. % of a green coffee bean extract, and 
                  about 2.5 wt. % of a kale powder, 
                wherein the orange-yellow colored plant materials, based on a total weight of the nutritional supplement, consist of: 
                about 10 wt. % of an onion extract, 
                  about 10 wt. % of a ginger extract, 
                  about 2.5 wt. % of a grapefruit extract, and 
                  about 2.45 wt. % of a carrot powder, 
                wherein the purple-blue colored plant materials, based on a total weight of the nutritional supplement, consist of: 
                about 15.75 wt. % of a grape extract, 
                  about 2.5 wt. % of a blueberry extract, 
                  about 2.43 wt. % of a black currant powder, and 
                  about 2.43 wt. % of an elderberry powder; 
                about 3.19 wt. % of maltodextrin; 
                about 0.31 wt. % of corn starch; 
                about 0.25 wt. % of slica; and 
                about 0.03 wt. % of sunflower lecithin; 
                wherein the nutritionally acceptable carrier is present in an amount to balance the nutritional supplement to 100 wt. %; 
                wherein the plant materials and/or polyphenols contained therein, when tested in vitro, have at least one of the following effects: 
                (a) increase ATP levels in RAW 264.1 mouse macrophages at a dosage of 1 μg/mL, 
                (b) increase glucose uptake into mouse C2C12 muscle cells at a dosage of 10 μg/mL, and 
                (c) increase mitochondrial biogenesis in Neuro-2a cells at a dosage of 10 μg/mL.
