AS A RESULT OF REEXAMINATION, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT:
The patentability of claims 1-20 is confirmed.
1. A portable electronic system comprising:
a sensor configured to capture information about a physical world;
a processor configured to execute computer executable instructions to compute a three-dimensional (3D) representation of a portion of the physical world based at least in part on the captured information about the physical world, wherein the computer executable instructions comprise instructions for:
extracting a plurality of plane segments from the sensor-captured information, wherein the plurality of plane segments are associated with orientations of planes that individual plane segments represent;
identifying a plurality of surface planes based at least in part on the plurality of plane segments; and
inferring a plurality of corner points of the portion of the physical world based at least in part on the plurality of surface planes.
