1. An x-haul pipelining system, comprising:
a modem termination system (MTS) configured to periodically generate an unsolicited grant for a bandwidth report (BWR) including a Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) initialization notification, to receive the BWR in accordance with the SCTP initialization notification of the unsolicited grant, and to generate and transmit a grant for an SCTP initialization message upon receipt of the BWR.
