1. A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), comprising:
receiving, in downlink control information (DCI), (1) information indicating a set of resource elements (REs) corresponding to reference signals, the reference signals used for demodulation of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and (2) an indicator indicating additional REs correspond to additional reference signals, the additional reference signals also used for demodulation of the PDSCH transmission, the additional reference signals containing no PDSCH data;
determining positions in time and frequency of the REs and the additional REs based on the received DCI;
receiving the PDSCH transmission; and
decoding the PDSCH transmission.
