1. A system for operating a hospitality establishment having a plurality of rooms, the system comprising:
a programming interface configured to communicate with a processor and non-transitory memory disposed in an interconnected busing architecture, the processor being communicatively disposed with a screen; and
the programming interface including non-transitory memory accessible to the processor, then non-transitory memory including processor-executable instructions that, when executed, cause the system to:
generate by a set-top box, upon request, a housekeeping interactive portal providing a first interactive icon and a second interactive icon, the first interactive icon furnishing an informational job aid to ensure completion of each housekeeper's tasks, the second interactive icon furnishing a maintenance request, the informational job aid including a first visual indication that a maintenance item works properly and a second visual indication that a maintenance item requires the maintenance request,
generate by the set-top box, upon request, a guest interactive portal providing the second interactive icon and a third interactive icon, the third interactive icon furnishing a housekeeping request, the third interactive icon being selected from the group consisting of do not disturb, make up room, additional towels, fresh linens, and turn-back service,
receive an interactive instruction relative to one of the first, second, and third interactive icons, and
send the interactive instruction to a server via the set-top box, and if the interactive instruction relates to the housekeeping request, the prioritization of the housekeeping request, the server determining if the interactive instruction relates to the maintenance request, and the prioritization of the maintenance request.
