1. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising machine readable instructions which, when executed, cause processor circuitry to:
based on addition of a first device to a network, retrieve a model number of the first device, the model number corresponding to a type of the first device;
determine whether a data structure has previously been populated for a second device corresponding to the type of the first device;
based on determining that the data structure has previously been populated for the second device, control the first device based on first tag parameters of the data structure;
based on determining that the data structure has not previously been populated for the second device, cause access to a database based on the model number of the first device to determine second tag parameters associated with devices of the type, the second tag parameters associated with control of devices of the type;
populate the data structure for the first device with the second tag parameters associated with devices of the type; and
cause control of the first device based on the second tag parameters associated with devices of the type.
