9. A computer-implemented method implemented by a communal computing device, the method comprising:
establish a trust relationship with a cloud-based provider;
detect a device identifier of a mobile device proximate to the communal computing device;
provide the device identifier to the cloud-based provider;
receive low-fidelity biometric data of a user associated with the mobile device from the cloud-based provider;
capture sensor data from a sensor of an environment proximate to the communal computing device;
determine that at least a portion of the sensor data matches the low-fidelity biometric data of the user; and
recognize the user.
