1. A method for assembling an energy storage module, the method comprising:
arranging a multiplicity of electrochemical cells in a stacked formation to form a cell pack, each electrochemical cell of the multiplicity of electrochemical cells having a first flat connection lug for contacting a first electrode of the respective electrochemical cell and a second flat connection lug for contacting a second electrode of the respective electrochemical cell, the first and second flat connection lugs extending from two opposing sides of the cell pack; and
pushing a first contacting device onto the first flat connection lug of each electrochemical cell on a first side of the two opposing sides of the cell pack, the first contacting device being at least in part comb-shaped and having a first multiplicity of teeth, the first flat connection lug of each electrochemical cell being received between two adjacent teeth of the first multiplicity of teeth, the first contacting device having at least a first busbar and at least a first carrier, the at least first busbar being comb-shaped and having a third multiplicity of teeth, the at least first carrier being comb-shaped and having a fourth multiplicity of teeth, the at least first bus bar being received by the at least first carrier, the at least first bus bar being secured on the at least first carrier.
