1. A gaming system comprising:
a game server configured to display a game on a display device, wherein the game is associated with a game outcome;
a system server configured to receive one or more non-random number based outcomes over time, the one or more non-random number based outcomes comprising item values subject to time-based fluctuations;
a controller in communication with the system server and the gaming machine, wherein responsive to the controller detecting a triggering event in the game, the controller processes the one or more non-random number based outcomes in combination with an algorithm configured to determine one or more future non-random number based outcomes based on historical volatility of the item values, the controller comparing the one or more probable future non-random number based outcomes with the non-random number based outcomes to determine the game outcome, transmit the game outcome to the game server whereby the game server actuates the display on the display device of the game outcome as a game result of the game.
